24/3/2026EUROPEAN FUR AUCTION SUCCEEDED IN SELLING NORTH AMERICAN
SKINS
Finnish fur auction house Saga Furs has concluded a
remarkable March auction drawing almost 1,000 international buyers
- a record in the international fur trade. The strong attendance
ensured competition despite an uncertain market situation, and the
total sales value for Saga Furs' auction was 238 million
euros.
The auction was the result of a joint partnership between American
Legend Cooperative of Seattle and Fur Harvesters Auction Inc. of
Canada. The partnership meant that Saga Furs could offer a unique
supply of skins, and this has been well recieved by
customers.
Also the next auction at Saga Furs will offer a wide supply of
North American skins. The auction takes place 1.-12. June. It is
unknown whether the unusual global partnership will continue next
season.
