The European fur sector creates 60,000 jobs in Europe. Job positions in the European fur industry include farm jobs, veterinarians, consultants, auction house personnel, cargo workers, engineers, fur processing workers, furriers, designers, retail personnel.

As fur is a highly seasonal product some periods of the year are busier than others. It is estimated that the European fur industry creates an additional 50.000 part time jobs during the season.
