Fur farmed species in Europe in Europe cover Mink (Musteladie family), Fox (Vulpes and Alopex families), Finnraccoon (Nyctereutes Procyonoides family) and Chinchilla (Chinchilla Laniger family).

EUROPEAN PRODUCTION FIGURES:

Mink production: 33 million 

Fox production: 2 million

Chinchilla production: 80.000

Finnraccoon production: 130.000


The production figures are derived from members of the European Fur Breeders Association and the European fur auction houses Saga Furs and Kopenhagen Fur. The figures are from 2011.

Rex rabbit are only produced in small numbers in Europe.
